The evaluation by customer: Because of our high requirements for final particule granularity, I have followed the views of LIMING engineer with a two-stage crushing - a PE Jaw Crusher for primary crushing and two Hydraulic Cone Crusher HST160 for secondary crushing. Quite stable performance, also the production makes me satisfied. To my most pleasant surprise, the intelligent operation of machine has saved me a lot of time and also costs.

  • Why is CaCO3 not used as an additive in the pelletised chromite pre

CaCO3 (as limestone) is already used as a flux in some FeCr production processes, hence its use does not constitute the addition of an extra raw material. Results . Therefore samples of raw materials used by a large South African FeCr producer applying the pelletised chromite pre-reduction process were obtained.

These are operated batch-wise, by blowing hot air through the matte to oxidise the sulphur and the iron, and then adding silica flux to form an iron-rich slag before returning it to the reverberatory furnace.
